Grade Two Level:
At this band of the Rainbow the students continue to learn the recorder. Learning this instrument will give a wonderful head start on learning other instruments when the child is older. By the end of the year they will have learned to play many songs on the recorder in three different tonalities. Students also learn to read and write music using three full major and minor scales. The sharp and flat are introduced. Music history, canon, ostinatos and some part-singing is also done at this level.
